B / F Style Bits For use with either a B Style shank / saw or an F Style shank / saw, these bits are a “double circle” design. This design disperses the cutting force along the entire length of the bit, as opposed to focusing the force on the "heel" of the bit as with 2-1/2, 3, and 33 style configurations. Consequently, the B / F Style saws are less prone to saw shoulder breakage. 	2-1/2 Style Bits Fit only for a 2-1/2 Style shank / saw, these bits are a "Single Circle" design. This compact form allows for more teeth to be put into a given saw diameter than the double circle design of BF bits. 2-1/2 Style bits are well suited to processing small, knotty logs at high feed speeds. A saw with the maximum number of teeth permits the fasting possible carriage speed, resulting in maximum production from the saw. 3 Style / 33 Style Bits Both 3 & 33 Style bits are a "Single Circle" design. This compact form allows for more teeth to be put into a given saw diameter than the double circle design of B / F bits. The large gullet of 3 and 33 Style shanks are well suited low powered mills processing relatively large logs at moderate feed speeds. A saw with the maximum number of teeth permits the fasting possible carriage speed, resulting in maximum production from the saw.
