Friction Saw Blade Sharpening and Repair

Friction saw blades are used for cutting cold metals at high RPM. Generally speaking, cutting speed in friction saw blade applications is more important than the finished cut quality. Available from 250 mm to 1200 mm diameter, friction saw blades are made from chrome vanadium steel (CrV2 HRc 43/45) and heat-treated for use in cutting solid steel, steel tubing, and structural profiles. Industrial Carbide is equipped to manufacture and repair (sharpen) friction saw blades with any of the three common grind patterns below. We charge $30.00 to sharpen friction blades 30" and under in diameter, and we charge $60.00 to re-tooth the same. Call us for repair pricing on larger diameter friction blades.
