Bi-Metal M-42 band saw blades are rugged production blades to cut solids and heavy walled structures as well as hard-to-machine materials on medium to heavy production machines. These blades, featuring M42 High Speed Steel edges electron beam welded to a fatigue-resistant tool steel backer, offer higher production speeds and lower downtime costs.

Although M42 Blades are toward the higher end of the cost-per-blade spectrum, the durability they offer on hard-to-cut materials place them on the lower end of the cost-per-cut spectrum. With cutting teeth hardened to Rc 67-69, M42 Production Bi-Metal Blades resist tooth damage and offer increased wear and heat resistance, thereby decreasing the number of blade changes needed during production. Added to the overall lower cost-per-cut, they are a high value solution when production cutting hard-to-machine materials.
